Are you sure that the time on your iPhone is correct? Check its accuracy! With this app we allow you to compare the time of your device with the universal time measurement system. The app shows the time received from the internet via NTP protocol and also the time received from the GPS of your iPhone.
Two special verification fields measure the offset between the clocks and display the updated result every few seconds.
The app consists of:
• Device clock: displays the current time of the device itself including milliseconds, already corrected with the local time-zone.
• Device time (UTC): displays the system timestamp when the time is received via NTP protocol.
• NTP time (Network Time Protocol): displays the exact time received via NTP query. This app makes the request on the pool.ntp.org server.
• Difference (-NTP): field with the offset between the UTC system time (Coordinated Universal Time) and the NTP time.
• Device time (UTC): displays the system timestamp when the time is received from the iPhones GPS.
• GPS (Geographic Position System) time: displays the exact time received from the atomic clocks present on the satellites of the GPS system. The time shown (UTC) includes the correction of 18 seconds of leap. The timestamp displayed is provided by the operating system and not directly by the gps chip.
• Difference (-GPS): field with the offset between the UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) system time and the GPS time.
